LimbahKu is a waste management platform that connects users with verified waste buyers to repurpose valuable household waste. From old paper and plastic packaging to broken electronics, LimbahKu ensures that waste is transformed into meaningful resources rather than being discarded.
I worked with my fellow team members - Vernandio Rivaldo, Natha Buddhi Pratama Chandra, and Angelina Oktaviani Putri - to design and develop this web application in just 30 hours (~ 3 days) for Garuda Hacks 6.0, the largest Southeast Asia hackathon. This experience has taught me loads about working under pressure and collaboration in product development. I learned that transforming ideas into a tangible product is no easy feat and that sustainability is a big focus in today’s world.

General User Experience & Authentication
- Responsive UI → Features a sleek, responsive design with full mobile and web support to accommodate all users.
- Role-Based Registration → Users choose a role upon registration: “Waste Seller” (for households/MSME/UMKM) or “Waste Buyer” (for recycling/waste management businesses).

Waste Seller Functionality
- Home Dashboard → A user-friendly dashboard that provides an overview of ongoing waste transaction status.
- Marketplace (Sell) → Allows sellers to quickly select the type of waste to sell (e.g., Used Cooking Oil).
- Location-Based Matching → Automatically matches the seller with the nearest Waste Buyer based on registration location data.
- Waste Detail & Amount Selection → Enables sellers to view details for the selected waste type and specify the appropriate quantity to sell.
- Transactions Management → Displays a detailed history of both ongoing and completed waste transactions.
Waste Buyer Functionality
- Home Dashboard → Displays a dashboard focused on current waste delivery requests (pick-up/drop-off).
- Marketplace (Your Posts) → Buyers can accept specific waste types and set/edit their buying price for different materials.
- Transactions Management → Allows buyers to accept or decline waste delivery requests initiated by sellers.
Interactive Support & Utility
- Limby AI Chatbot → Integrates Limby, a friendly AI chatbot, ready to assist both Sellers and Buyers.
- Guided Instructions → Limby can provide step-by-step instructions (e.g., “how to sell waste”) to seamlessly guide users through the platform’s features.
- Profile Management → Dedicated pages for users to manage their personal information and settings.
